Enzymes... the Foundation for Wellness

Most people don’t know that enzymes are the literal life force of the body.  These powerful biochemical catalysts are required for every bodily function and having too few of them make illness and disease a certainty.

Supplementing with the proper blend of enzymes may be the most important health decision you could ever make because almost everyone’s diet is severely enzyme deficient.

  1. Cooked food is enzyme-dead because temperatures of more than 118° F destroy them;
  2. Irradiated food is also enzyme-dead and most produce that isn’t 100% organic has been irradiated; and
  3. Carbonated drinks, strenuous exercise, environmental factors and stress further deplete your body’s ability to produce enough enzymes to support normal bodily functions and cellular reproduction.

Add that to the fact that the body’s capacity to produce digestive enzymes declines around 1% every year past the age of 10 or so.  So by age 60, the body is trying to digest meals with about half of what it needs.

The result is that your body is attempting to get nourishment from what is essentially rotten food.

Supplementing with enzymes is nothing new but it's very important to understand what is needed because few enzyme formulas have everything that is needed.

A properly formulated enzyme product will:

  1. Supply a complete array of enzymes for the digestion of all types of food (there are 7 in all) from protein to carbohydrates and fat;
  2. Contain additional enzymes to break down gas and others to combat inflammation;
  3. Include all of the necessary cofactors and coenzymes whose presence is necessary for enzymes to function.
    Note: Many of these are minerals which must be in ionic-form;
    and
  4. Have both acid and alkaline types of enzymes in order to support activity in the stomach as well as the intestines and blood.

A formula with all of these characteristics will insure that foods are broken down into their most useable form increasing both the rate of digestion, and the bioavailability of nutrients.

This will improve the quality of life by preventing the waste of metabolic enzymes (those produced by the body intended for other critical purposes).  It will also increase immune system function by reducing toxicity in the blood and reduce time between bowel eliminations thereby reducing the buildup of toxicity.

How long we live is certainly important and living without disease is probably going to maximize that number.  But think how great it would be to maximize the quality as well as the quantity.

Do the right thing nutritionally and you can have it all.

Now build your first line of defense
